AI Is Making Us Naked: The End of Excuses for Creatives

It All Starts with Fear

Let's not deny it, everyone is just waiting for Skynet to kick in! 😆
Let's not deny it, everyone is just waiting for Skynet to kick in! 😆

Every creative has felt it, the quiet, creeping fear that AI is coming for our jobs. The first time we see an AI-generated artwork that looks stunning, or read an AI-written article that doesn’t sound half bad, we get that sinking feeling. What if this thing is actually good? What if clients start choosing AI over us? What if we, the creatives who built our careers on imagination, are becoming obsolete?

Fear is the first, natural reaction. But it’s also the least useful.

The Denial Phase: “AI Isn’t That Good”

The next stage we all go through is denial. We convince ourselves that AI is just a gimmick, a tool that lacks soul, incapable of true artistic expression. “It can’t understand emotions.” “It’s repetitive.” “Clients will always prefer human creativity.”

This was 2023...

For a while, this was true. AI-generated content used to be clunky, awkward, and easy to spot. But the reality? It’s evolving at a terrifying speed. Today’s AI-generated visuals, texts, and videos are already indistinguishable from human-made work in many cases.

Tomorrow, they’ll be even better.

This is not a futuristic scenario, it’s happening right now.

...and this is 2025.

The Moment of Truth: A Sliding Door

We now stand at a crossroads. We have two choices:

Option 1: Refuse and fight AI, pretending it won’t affect us. And with all probability lose the battle.

Option 2: Embrace AI as a tool, understand its power, and figure out how to use it to enhance our creativity rather than replace it.

This is the moment when fear needs to turn into curiosity. Instead of worrying about what AI takes away, we should be asking: What new opportunities does AI create for us?

From Execution to Ideation: The Creative Revolution

Once we accept AI as part of our workflow, we unlock something incredible: freedom from execution.

No more spending hours on tedious iterations, manual edits, or repetitive tasks. With AI, we can:

  • Generate multiple variations of a concept instantly.

  • Prototype faster, testing crazy ideas without the cost.

  • Automate the boring parts and focus on pure creativity.

AI doesn’t eliminate the need for creatives, it forces us to focus on what really matters: ideas, storytelling, and strategy.

A Personal Example: My AI-Powered Game Development Journey

For years, I had a dream of creating a video game (a very complex metroidvania alike). But like many creatives, I faced the same roadblocks: lack of time, budget constraints, and technical barriers. AI changed that.

With AI-powered tools, I’ve been able to generate concept art, prototype environments, and explore thousands of game ideas I never thought possible; all without hiring an entire team. What was once too expensive to even attempt is now within reach.

And it’s not just me. Writers, musicians, designers, and filmmakers are unlocking projects they once thought impossible because AI allows them to move faster and think bigger.

I'm leading the AI implementation in every aspect, from character creation to the smallest animation details. More updates will follow in the coming weeks.

AI Is Making Us Naked—And That’s a Good Thing

AI is stripping away the excuses that held us back. It’s removing the barriers between ideas and execution. And now, the only thing standing between a creative person and their best work… is them.

No more saying, “I don’t have the time.” AI speeds up workflows.

No more saying, “I don’t have the budget.” AI lowers production costs.

No more saying, “I don’t have the skills.” AI assists in execution.

Now, we have to face the truth: Are we truly creative, or were we just hiding behind the process?

The Future of Creativity: Join CoThrive
